I actually found a few places that make 3D filament right here in the good ol USA. Too bad the prices can't compare to Korean filament. It would cost me $80 more to fill my AMS. All we need now is a bit more competitive pricing on consumables.
I've been using 3D Fuel for a few years now and like it.
Yep... The goal was to bring manufacturing here. Short term pain, long term gain.
I agree with Tarifs to compensate for China using unfair practices, the trouble is they are always paid by the customers, not the producers. Seems like they’re starting to have an effect on manufacturing.

America used to be a manufacturing power house. Nations and companies are making commitments to invest here for manufacturing plants. The problem is that bad deals made by bad politicians in the past lead to the situation we are currently in. I'll stick with the guy in office because he knows what he's doing and it's against the establishment and their status quo.
Politicians were so short-sighted regarding China, and companies were stupid enough to effectively give away their intellectual property.
Trump is going in the right direction, and needs to keep energy costs low. Look what’s happening to heavy industry in Europe with the high price net zero idiocy.
Why not, seems like *everyone* is hyping the miracles of Almost Intelligence...
I have as much faith in AI as James Cameron does. I used a few to try creating a simple logo with a warbird flying across the letters RC leaving a smoke trail. What I got was a warbirdish looking plane with 3 different wings flying INTO the smoke trail.
Been reading on LinkedIn about the different types of hallucination that AI is subject to, and how to minimize the risk. The problem is that every query goes into the model, so it’s going to get worse before it gets better. If there is a contractual risk with what AI is providing you should get an expert to check it - which kind of defeats the purpose.
So I drove the seven hours back to PA to get my truck from the Ford Stealership (Parsons Interstate Ford in Shippensburg Pennsylvania) once the repairs were completed. $14,380.30 later..... My wife drives the truck & follows me the 96 miles to the rental place to return our rented truck. After dropping off the rental when we get back in my recently "FIXED for damn near $15,000" truck when she starts the truck the same low fuel pressure warning shows up on the dash!!! I immediately call the dealer and he tells me I need to return to them at once so they can check the truck out... NOT Happening!! We pushed Ok on the steering wheel and the warning went away. The truck seemed to run fine the rest of the way home with no issues or warnings displayed. I have an appointment at a local trusted diesel mechanic to have the S&S DPK installed Wednesday next week and have the low fuel pressure pump tested as they explained that the lift pump in the tank may not be providing enough pressure to supply the CP4 that was just replaced. I am terrified to even drive the truck at this point but I have another camping trip scheduled for 8-20 and it is a 4 hour trip to our destination. Oh yea and I got the call from my insurance company yesterday saying that insurance does not cover this repair even though it was noted several times throughout the report that Fuel contamination was the reason for the failure. I am sick to death over this whole situation and I am way too far deep into this to ever recover. I just want a dependable vehicle that I am not scared to drive when its needed. Anyone else have any ideas why I am getting the low Fuel Pressure warning again there are no codes shown when I use a code reader.
That's frustrating. I'm starting to wonder if a bad lift pump was the culprit to begin with.

Now with the S&S kit, I see high 80s/low 90s (no higher than 92) and at end of filters service life, mid 80s or so... wild that I saw a slight increase in pressure with the S&S kit.

That seems awfully high. OEM fuel pressure is 55-57 PSI

We've had this discussion before but yeah, I've never seen anything that low since I've had my iDash and monitoring primary pressure, which is weird because the 2017 plus guys do not have the primary fuel pressure PID on the Banks iDash list of PIDs as they have the same dual sensor like my 16 does >> the fuel temp/fuel pressure sensor by the secondary fuel filter.
I know the Air Dogs for our gen trucks, the 11 to 16s are preset at 65 PSI at the factory. So yeah, I believe you but been seeing this since I've got the first iDash 1.8.

I feel for you and the family. Not only are trucks expensive (new and used), to have this kind of unexpected cost.
I changed out the CP4 on my DM to a CP3 at 75k miles. Best thing I ever did...but wasn't fun in my garage 4 weeks after foot surgery but that was my fault for eating a big bowl of ******* for breakfast.
You already have a new updated CP4, I would put a bypass kit and an external lift pump on your truck. Enjoy it for another 200k. I like the AirDog over the FASS.
Thanks! That's the plan... I have an appointment to have the S&S DPK installed next week. They will test the lift pump pressure then. I will be adding the external lift pump as well at some point but really hoping I can wait a bit to recover from the SH*$ ton of money I have had to spend in the last few weeks. If they say the pressure is too low I will just have to dig deep and make it happen now somehow!!
