Yes, Stinger has a kit for this to add the coils ($1200). One goal is to lose the TFI module and PIP sensor which can be problematic.

Just to be clear & for the sake of peace, it's coil "near plug" if it uses some wire.
Explorer late 5.0s had this. It used a Hall effect sensor on a stub in the distributor position.
You can do a crank (actual on crank) sensor. The stub pickup can suffer spark scatter just like any distributor.
Which depending on usage is nothing.

Yep. Coil on plug is what Modular motors have.

And my 351w, COP, no plug wires, about 8" long. No concern about spark plug wire organization.

My 97 F150 had 2 coil packs, one on each side of the engine, for that bank of 4 plugs.

What do you guys think of this? Driver side should be on the other side of the oil filler tube but I thought it looked better where it’s at now. Should I make it go on the other side of the filler tube and over the center of the valve cover like the factory diagram showes?

The passenger side looks exactly like this and the driver side looks just like picture above, just on the other side of the oil filler tube.

they are definitely touching right there. I’ll be sure to address that in the morning. Does anyone have pictures of how they keep them separated right there. Pretty tight space

just adjust the tension toward the distributor cap so it stays elevated a bit

Looks great. Don't obsess over the routing too much.
You can't do a 100% no wires cross installation.
I've been taught that it's not a spark jumps across to adjacent wire, it's voltage is "induced by a collapsing magnetic field" causes partial spark
Others can have a differing opinion & I'm good with that.
