One of my favorite arguments that ignorant liberals sometimes make is " Is anything you own worth a human life?" I think they are way off the mark, anyone who would hold you up just for your wallet or other possessions is obviously willing to forfeit YOU'RE life for the dollar in your pocket. people who commit armed robbery and break into your house have no regard for human life and are a distinct threat to the lives of you and others. You are not taking a human life when you kill one of these people, you are defending yours, because they will kill you.

Funny thing. The highest crime states are also the states with the harshest gun laws. My psych teacher always used to say "When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns." Pretty obvious but it makes a point. A criminal is far less likely to hold a place up when he knows there's a good possibility that he's not the only one there with a weapon. I wish more people would take advantage of their rights.

 

RIGHT ON RIPSNORT! people need to realize these things, especially when half this country is under lunatic rule of some kind - i'm thankful i live in KENTUCKY our last governor election, both candidates had a A rating from the NRA - thats right even the democrat. we didnt have to worry about that issue. but one state north in ILLinois you probably heard in the news they arrested that guy who shot a man who was breaking into his house for the second nite in a row, cuz he feared for his children and was tired of calling the cops. Wake up America ???

just some info here- if you want to hear the GOO Dnews about firearms ownership, go to www.ar15.com they have recent updates on good firearms stories, like the one listed above about the guy shooting the burgler who broke in 2 nites in a row, just cause of that case they are trying to change the law so that people who use UNLICENSED handguns in *legitimate* self defense cases DONT get charged with posession of an unlicensed handgun.

That's right Fire; a Newfie bud of mine, Sgt Tom>Army of Canada, just shakes his head at the laws/regs happening north of the border; and it's hit west Washington too. I don't need to shoot 'em too much, but i like knowing my guns are available- Most are locked up, but my 12ga and .22 are handy for coyotes. And i hope nothing else . . .

I live in a very rural area of Alabama, we have only county sheriff protection, which is almost nothing at night. By the time they get there, it will be over, one way or another.

I personally know the chief investigator for our county, and he say's " As long as he's in the house when I get there , it's self defense."

ok, ive always pondered this quote... does it mean, that the streets are safer with ARMED citizens, or the streets are safer cause the police know who is armed?

25. The American Revolution started BECAUSE of gun control.

its just something hitler said. people quote it is to show what kind of leader and government favor strict gun control- a point of reference to what some of our politicians are trying to do here. and Stalin was the same way. see a pattern?
