89 e150 Coil Spring help

Have an 89 E150, spring code 44P, and I want to re do all the springs front and back. I have identified what leaf springs I need for rear (6 leaf, 1750 lbs.) I just can't figure out what coils I should get for the front. Ive narrowed it down to Moog CC822 or CC820.

Read a previous post by annaleigh, where they put in CC824 and it have them some pretty bad +camber, so Im also a little worried about something like this. Watcha guys think

I think CC are junk
CC stands for Cargo Coils
I've installed hundreds of sets when doing tire store work back in the 80's
They sell 'em like hotcakes, along with shocks and tires
They are a variable rate spring where the top coils are wound tighter than the bottom coils
That often puts the top coils into coil bind which is NOT good
If you get a heavy enough spring that might not happen
Either way be prepared to swap the springs back
There is nothing better than a factory spring
The CC's are only 125.00 a set for a reason

Yea not seeing a lot of good stories of people changing springs on these old vans. I remember one guy saying on here that he did and his van handled better, I should find that thread and ask him. Still think I'm definitely gonna do the rear leafs, they're almost bent up after 215,000 miles. Also toying with the idea of shock/coil spring in ones for the front instead of new coil springs.

One thing you can do is add the big ride height adjusting washers under your front springs
I haven't done my van yet, but I will next time it needs ball joints
These washers add 3/8 inch of ride height each, you can add 2 per side usually
These are just big thick washers, with a hole big enough to go over the big bolt that holds the radius rod to the axle.

Big fan of adding a leaf or two to your existing rear spring pack
You just need longer u bolts and new leaf spring thru bolts

Would that work OK if you had one side that sags a little more than the other?

It will not fix the dreaded sag on the left side from the heavy gas tank
Side to side can be fixed a little by using a zero degree caster wedge on the low side
