Instrument cluster voltage regulator

I have a 1970 Ford F250 I completely rewired the truck and also it now has a new internal regulated alternator and of course I redid all the gauges and put in a new instrument panel voltage regulator and the gauge just seemed to work for a few days, and now all three of the gauges are now not reading I checked the voltage regulator on the current panel and I don’t think it’s reading 6 V coming out of the other terminal, my question is my voltage goes up to almost 14 14 1/2 V when the trucks running with this fry the new solid state regulator or does that matter or did I just got a bad one.

Did you wire the truck with a new aftermarket harness? Did you use a 3g alternator? What did you do to the gauges? If you are using original gauges and a volt meter, you have to disconnect the volt meter from the printed circuit. Here is a link to Rocketman's Classic Cougar Innovations. https://rccinnovations.com/index.php?show=wiring. On this page, scroll down to volt meter and click on wiring diagram. This is how I wired my 72 f250.

Yeah, I put a new wiring harness and I did not connect up the ammeter so that should not be an issue.

Probably just a bad regulator. 14.xV should not damage it.
