New Member, new F250

Hello Everyone, Thank You for having me. A little background. I come from a FORD background as my Dad worked for FORD for many years as a mechanic and service writer and didn’t buy anything but FORD when it came to a truck. It used to be if I had a question I could pick up the phone and ask my Dad but because He is no longer with us is my reason for joining FTE, to get answers and feedback from other FORD Truck owners. With that said, I’ve recently purchased a new 2025 F250 6.7L SO Lariat Super Duty to pull our 30’ 5th wheel. My previous truck was a 2008 F250 6.4L Diesel which served us well but at 176,000 miles it was starting to show its age. You might say 176,000 is nothing for a Diesel but this truck belonged to my Dad before I got it and he put 89,000 miles on it hauling cars around the Country then I yanked our 5th wheel around for the next 85,000 miles with this truck and it starts adding up. We were on the road when we traded this truck in on our new truck and must say I am amazed at how much trucks have changed since 2008. We love our new truck as it pulls our 5th wheel with ease. I’ve been scouring the Owners Manual and been learning a lot and looking forward to many years of enjoyment with our new Truck. Thank You again to FTE and Everyone for having me here. I’m looking forward to learning more about my new Truck with FTE and helping others as well. Mel

welcome to the site.

ask away as you will find many a ford dealer tech and a few retired factory engineers all willing to share what they know,
good move on reading the OM, something many today don't do, as it's a wealth of information
good luck with the truck
