Hi All, I just purchased a 2021 F350 XLT Diesel Dually. I have not bought a new truck since 1998. I have been using a 2003 Silverado 3500 Diesel Dually for about 6 years to pull my 13000+ lb. 5th Wheel RV before that I had a 2003 F250 with the 7.3 (I really liked that truck) but it's GVWR was 8800 lbs. and I was not legal pulling our current RV as I was over the GVWR by about 500 lbs. The 3500 is still fine but was limited to 15,600 lbs. pulling a 5th Wheel and we are on the verge of upgrading to a bigger badder 5th Wheel because we spend about 5 months a year on the road and need more space. So I started looking at New/Used Trucks and after looking at many trucks I decided to bite the bullet and go with a new truck. The prices on used trucks weren't all that much less then a new one and I figured with all the electronics newer vehicles have it will be better to have a Factory Warranty. I started searching locally and all of the local Ford Dealers would not come off MSRP at all so I expanded my search out further and found a Ford Volume Dealer in Chattanooga, Tn. who had a great price on a XLT with the options I was looking for and actually had a better addon package (premium vs Basic) then the one we had liked locally. Bottom line I saved over $3500 and if you compare the option packages Premium vs Basic I saved another $2000. It was well worth the trip 13 hrs. round trip.
Welcome to the forum, Rick! Thanks for joining and congrats on your truck. May you have many thousands of miles of trouble-free driving. Enjoy your new ride and your time here!
