I need some help identifying my rear diff. The tag attached to it is nearly unreadable. I would like to drain and refill the oil in there and want to make sure I get the right stuff. Here are a few pictures I took.
This is a 4X4 and would like to change the oil in the front diff as well but it looks a little more time consuming. Any thoughts on that?
Also, I forgot to check out trans to try to identify that for a fluid change as well. I have a '93 with a 5 speed manual. Any thought on what that might be and the proper fluid and amount for it?
in order to identify, you're gonna have to straighten out & clean off that tag to get all the numbers on that tag -- some might even be hidden by the bolt
that is a 4.10 limited slip differential. what model truck you have will determine what axle is in it.
as for the trans, model and engine size will also tell what trans you have also.
