I have a 460 block that I'm working on right now for a customer. It is just a typical D1VE-A2B block with an early 1973 casting date code. On the back of the block it has this mark:
I didn't look at the foundry mark but it should be the one for Flat Rock on a D1 block. Sometimes you see things like an X or what looks like a C or a J on an FE block but I don't think that I've ever seen a 385 series block marked like this. It must mean something about the pattern at the foundry.
