95 f150 AC is being weird. last year I figured out that changing the check valve will fix the problem of the ac/heater blowing through the defrost vents. And earlier this year I have been trying to clear codes and realized one was a vacuum leak problem, and had multiple lines broke and I put all new lines under the hood and even the 2 vacuum lines that run into the cab. The only ones I didn't replace are the ones under the dash and I have looked at them they still fill brand new. Well last week I had the ac start blowing through defrost again and I put another check valve on it and its working but then its not working at the same time. So if its already on ac when I start driving I have no problems with it but if I am already up to speed and switch on the ac then it blows through defrost until I let off gas letting it turn on. And after it turns on it works like normal. I have never had to let off the gas to get it to turn on before but after it does turn on it works fine. Any ideas?
When chasing a vac leak potentially at the HVAC, start at the vac source. Guessing your gas engine as F150. Verify no leaks there. Check the line from vac tree out to HVAC.
It should run to a check valve, hose to the reservoir off check valve, and another hose to the cabin for actuation of the vac pods.
My '88 had a cracked line from vac tree to the check valve. Always inspect by hand and eye first. If in doubt of the source, block off items and work your way out.

Well I just ran new lines like last month or 2 months ago to clear some code I was waiting to check because there was some other things I was going to replace before checking again. But no harm in checking again to make sure. and also where I work, Research and development, we have some spare blend door actuators like the one under the dash I think I found one that will work Imma try it too. Or blend door motors I see them called a few different things.
So I tested that this weekend and it seems like the reservoir is fine I think and I looked at the lines again replaced the ones that have to do with the ac again and its still the same. I'm starting to believe that the check valve pack of 2 I ordered were just cheap and back imma go to Napa and get one. When I had this problem before all I did was go to Napa get that check valve and it worked perfectly until now.
So I went to Napa and just got a check valve from them instead of a cheap one offline and AC is working perfectly the cheap ones offline were not made worth a crap. Lesson learned thank yall though!

That's what I am thinking
You got a bogus valve
I get them 3 or 4 at a time from the junkyard
