Trans mounts

Here it is next to an OEM style replacement for a 2wd truck. It's actually only about 4mm taller than the stock one. (.15" according to the digital caliper, or in other words somewhere between 1/8-3/16's of an inch.) This is a 4.1142R (or "G" for a black one). Slightly different design...the polyurethane one uses bolts (not shown) that thread up from the bottom through the crossmember rather than the studs that point down and nuts that secure them.
As far as I could tell they do not differentiate between 2wd and 4wd applications like the OEM style replacements do, although I could not tell you how the dimensional specs differ between them, or why they do if they do. According to the Rock Auto catalog, it's one of those triangle/pyramid shaped ones like pictured above if you have a 2wd truck regardless of transmission, and a more rectangle shaped one if you have a 4wd, again regardless of transmission.
Energy suspension lists the 4.1142 as having a 2.312" stud center...I was able to match up that spec with one of the OEM 2wd mounts advertised, so that is how I was able to extrapolate that the 4.1142 was probably the one I needed. They also list a 4.1143 with a 2.375" stud center. Could that possibly be the 4wd version? (Do 2wd/4wd trucks have different transmission cross members with slightly different hold spacing for the trans mount?) On the Energy Suspension website they list both of these has having multiple Ford applications including early Super Duty trucks up till 2007, but they are also unhelpful as to what specific application differences are.
Just wondering if anybody has tried one of these. I suspect my original mount might be shot and causing trouble. This is one of those inexpensive items that should probably not be reused if the transmission comes out, same way installing new motor mounts would be a wise idea if the engine ever had to come out. Just a little concerned whether the slight height difference would cause a problem.
There is a transfer case that has to be held up on 4x4, so the bigger one makes sense to carry the extra weight.
