Get this, in Pinehurst NC you cannot have an RV in your yard unless it is enclosed in a building out of sight. You cannot leave your RV sitting overnight even if you are packing it up to go on a trip the next day.You cannot park a pickup truck in your own driveway, you have to put it in a garage out of sight. You cannot have any externaly mounted tools on anything that can be seen. You have to understand that this is a golf town with cranky old retired people that all they do is play golf and bitch!
The one thing that shows the rest of the world that America is the WORST place on earth to live, is the housing associations, and sellers covenants. Many places have totally stupid regulations that do nothing to enhance anyone's life, save maybe the few idiots that thought 'em up.
America, at its worst - let some **** fool get elected, because you can't be bothered to wobble your fat down the voting place, then bitch all the time about the mess that you find yourself in..
If I ever end up in one of those areas again, they will carry me out in a body bag - I will go nuts.
If you own then them telling you what you can and can't do is an invasion of your privacy, after all it is your land not the housing authority's. What are they gonna do have your vehicle towed from your own driveway? They can't legally do that since it's your property. The cops can't even step foot on your land without the proper permission.
i think if you buy a house and know before-hand about the covanents and associations rules your stuck following them. if they try to change the rules later they can kiss my fat white you know what! it's surprising (scary) the amount of power the homeowner associations have, and they get it legally when you buy a house and agree to their rules.
the town I live in, u can't have unlicensed vehicles parked in front of your house OR in your driveway....something they call the "clunker" law or something like that...so if u have a "project" vehicle, running or not, u have to pay $78 a year to keep it licensed
The local housing hitlers in my last town dwelling were going to tow all of my vehicles off my land, to the impound lot, had I not cut the grass around them.. They could legally do that, with police backing.. There are bylaws in these places that have you by the throat.
Yeah, this stuff is getting nuts. Commies can burn our Flag, and they have rights, but dont you dare try to park a vehicle of any kind in my subdivision for longer than 3 days without moving it. They have even gone so far as to cite a neighbor of mine because he had a small oil pan leak, and I do mean small, on his own drive.
It's not just the cities that do this sort of thing... I live in a small town of about 350 or so people, a town populated by farm folk, in the middle of farm country, and there's an ordinance that no piece of "farm equipment" can be parked in town anywhere! And what's worse, I had a part in them passing the bloody thing! My old truck quit me at the farm (about 5 miles outside town), so I drove my tractor home and parked it in my driveway. Next day I get a visit from the mayor who tells me I can't do that, and next time it'll be towed out of town. I ask to see the ordinance, am told I can't, so I go to the council meeting and ask to have the thing repealed. Come to find out, there was no ordinance to start with, but the mayor thought it was a good idea, and proposed that they pass such an ordinance. All votes in favor, including one from my cousin on the council.
paint your house a bright pink with purple polkadots, leave your xmas lights up and on year round. put 300 of those pink flamigos in your yard. that will show them lol
