Finding my old Ford

My first car was a 72 F100 (in 2000). My mom, after an argument, gave it away in about 2005. I don't have any photos, VIN, license plate, but when I did have that info 20 years ago, I was able to determine that the owner was a gentleman named Larce Hodge out of either Mesquite or Granbury Texas. I would LOVE to attempt to purchase it back. Is there any way to find it?

First step would be to try and find Larce Hodge (or a potential family member) and find out what happened to the truck. They may still have it, or at least some old registration paperwork that will allow you to trace the latest owner. Without the VIN you are in a tough spot though.
