Code 452 logical troubleshooting plan?
Or
You can just back probe both components to do the same thing without one
I have one and have not used it in 20 years
Your '96 F250 should be OBD1 with a 60 pin processor and uses the 60 pin breakout box
If you lived near me, I'd just let you use mine
My breakout box is old and hammered, has at least one pin that does not work (EVP pin I believe)
We all learned to backprobe EVP's first for that reason
That is also the reason I got the old one when the dealer I worked for got a new one
They are on Ebay cheap at times, just like the NGS youi need
Just FYI, I thought that the yes or no applied to the first sentence of the test step " Continuous Memory DTC 452 indicates", etc. I see now that the yes or no applies to the question at the bottom concerning the resistance check. It seems kind of obvious now that I've figured it out, not so much when I was looking at it before.
I also figured out a little bit ago that the CHARM link is interactive, I wish I would have figured that out a long time ago. It shows the resistance limits for the ABS / VSS sensor, 1300-1550 oms. Mine is at 1072 ohms. I guess I'm on the hunt for an ABS / VSS sensor. I have seen posts saying that aftermarket sensors are not so good, but I believe they were all older posts. Is that still the case? Should I try to find an OEM Ford part?
