To each their own, I know, but a V8 diesel sounds like absolute garbage. That ungodly popping/raspy sound they make when pushed hard makes me want to stab my ear drums with a screwdriver.
Now a straight-6 is where the good music is!
Yeah I love my 6.7PSD but my 2001 Dodge Cummins 5.9 24 valve sounded like a diesel truck should sound IMO.

I curently own a F150 with the 6.2 that I bought new. Not a single problem at 120K miles. Hope I don't kick myself in the *** buying a 2026 F250 with the 7.3.
I get more concerned about the transmission than I do the 7.3
I am more concerned about reliability of the 10-spd transmission than my 7.3 engine! I think they changed something, not for the better, between my 21 f250 and current 2024.

Different strokes for different folks, you know what they say.
I think Powerstrokes and Duramaxes sound like beautiful music to the ears especially deleted.
Now mine always keep emissions intact but nonetheless I like it especially when towing. Even though I know it’s okay I always dislike hearing the gas engine just screaming but not getting the feedback of power/result I’m used to for heavier loads.
either way I love em both for their intended purposes. They’re just different tools to do different jobs we have.

it's getting to the point where purchasing a warranty vs investing in all of the preventative fixes cancelling any hope of ever legally using the former should be a thread topic started by someone more versed in the above (true?) statement than I. The cheapest 'all-in' multi-year warranty that I've witnessed ever priced out is now (I would say understandably) well over $10K. I may have been looking at the F550 only; can't remember; could have been for all of the lower Super Duty levels.

I have no qualms with the 7.3, I agree about the transmission and A/C. Those tow things have lept me from buying the F250. Hopefully by 2026 things will be taken care of, or maybe not?
