I've been a Bilstein fan for decades. Drop a new set on an older vehicle, and feel the comfort/control. Plus they last about 100k miles.
But recently I saw where Bilstein began manufacturing in CHYNA. So, that would cut the price, right? Dream on you filthy maggots ... Bilstein did not cut prices as all.
So I did a little look-see around the web and found that Eibach, formerly only sporty car oriented, now does pickup shocks. They have drop-in TTB shocks for 2wd SD that handle everything from no lift to +3" coils. Mine are +2" +3l00b for a Ranch Hand bumper. The Eibachs work just like Bilisteins do, and they cost a little less. And they are MADE IN USA OR GERMANY.
I just ordered a full set for my barn find ccsb.
Can't add a pic, keeps stalling at 90%, so I'll try in a comment
Remember when they told us having stuff made in chyna would save us $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. No, it didnt as the parts cost the same or more, and are junk so they have to be replaced sooner. Their profit margin until they fold for selling junk sure went up.
I have run both and prefer Bilstien 5100. The Eibach Truck Sport shocks are to squishy for my liking especially when towing, but they are a more comfortable ride when not towing and using the truck as a car rather than a truck.
