Where does this piece go?

I removed the fender to get to the IDM on the driver's side and this piece came flying out.

Quick help appreciated as fender is going on very soon.

Thanks.

I put the fender back on and called it a day. If it's critical then it can be put back some other day.

It's a noise barrier used between the fender and body at the hinges when you open either of the front doors. So when you notice more noise when driving, you'll know.

Lovely! Is there a way to cram it in there without removing the fender? Getting that fender on was not the easiest thing that I have ever done nor the hardest. I would much rather not pull that fender off again.

I think if the inner fender liner is removed you'll have access...

Thank you. I took a long trip and noticed no difference sound wise at all without it. I will put it in when time allows again though.

I think both sides had one, you can compare to the pass side.
