Don’t know what size rig your running but they are your front fender support my 55 has four of them for each fender front and rear four all total the rear mount behind the wheel and bolt to the bed the front mount on the front of the wheel and bolt to the front radiator mount plate illustrated in your maintenance manual picture you posted. It attaches the front gravel pan, I think they call it that. Only nut
,lock-washer, flat washer that is their.AJ.

@ajsunnyB , you are likely referring to groups 16010/1 (front) and 16544/5 (rear) which is NOT what @ingo had pointed out.

you are incorrect
yes your 56 f100 had front and rear just as you stated but there are additional support rods on the larger trucks and that is what is circled.

your f100 front fender braces were not round stock and the additional braces for the f700 and up are exactly that, round stock just as the pic shows

@ajsunnyB , if you look at the circled item, you will see it is labeled group 8271.

Here is a fuller picture that shows the differences with my red highlights added for clarity:

Gosh! It isn't my intention (nor likely that of others) to come across as touchy! Just want to be sure the best information is out there and eliminate any confusion for the benefit of all!

The original poster has a half ton f100 and asked if he needed these braces. The post was answered early on and you came in here chest pumped and proceeded to say that they did in fact go On your 55 or 56 f100. Which that is incorrect Information. So other members and myself had to repost information and educate the masses of what is really going on here. No one is "touchy" just stating facts and making sure facts are correct. This is a great forum and forgive me if I came across in an unbecoming nature.
