Running Board Cab Seal

I wanted to install the cab seals for a while but my tracks under the cab are trash. So I took some washers, bent them to take a bolt, cut them to size, and used them in the tracks to hold the seals. At some point I will get the tracks ch aged when I finally get her into paint and body.
The zink bolts and washers. #6 3-4 bolts and 1/8 flat washers. Could have worked with 1” bolts.

Used strong magnets for the corners

I put the bolt in the washer and used a deep socket to impregnate the washer to keep the same thickness

Start to finish. I crazed glued the bolts to the washers to make it easier to tighten them.

Only made one to check my clearances and if they would go down the track.

That's a great solution. Thanks for sharing.

But your C-channel looks intact and good enough to use. But your rubber will never fall out .

I may have over thought / designed it. The tracks on the ends were so beaten up I used a few tools to get them open again. On end is starting to peal back and some spots were rotten away. I read where people use glue but I think mechanical connections are the best.
