Truck is a 96 with 80k original miles. Trans is in real good shape. Shifts good. Wondering if a shift kit is still a good idea?
If so which one would be good?
I had a bd diesel in my 2000 back in the day and I think it worked well.
Do any of them cause a delay shift into reverse?
I have done the TG on these and Superior's big kit, I prefer the Superior Towpower kit. Did two a few years ago. Both will achieve the same results and always, always start at the mildest shift firmness. It is far easier to increase it then to soften. BTDT
Either way, piles of smalls go into the pump. Worth doing it all for the increased fluid volume and bigger bushing. Do a low stall while in there and consider that OD spiral snap ring while pump is out.
