Exactly, this is my work truck and I tow nearly everyday with it. I have a aftermarket controller now, but I would just prefer the oem one

Update

Everything I listed above works perfectly. I just towed my travel trailer from Texas to Colorado with no issues with the brake controller

Hello i'm new to this Forum, I've read through all the posts and see that you have all been able to get a ITBC from Ford and found a way to program them. I am located in Canada and made the same mistake in buying my 2025 F250 without the trailer brake, I have been calling any dealership within my province trying to find one but I am constantly told they are on back-order. Does anyone know any information on this back order and when they will be available? towing my 8500 lbs trailer is getting a bit sketchy without the brake.

Here in Texas I was told the same thing. Every dealer across several states was back ordered. The mechanic for our fleet vehicles at work called our Tasca rep and got one the next day. I don’t know how.

After enabling 2 options, I was able to use the Spreadsheet for the 2021-2025 F-150 trucks made by Livinitup.

2021-25 - Adding OEM Trailer Brake Controller
IPC 720-07-01 xxxx x*xx xx-- use E for a turbo engine, use A for a 5.0L
BCM 726-69-02 xxxx x1xx x1--
TRM 791-01-02 xxxx x*--add 1 to current value (if 4 make 5, if 2 make 3)
PIM 7D0-09-03 xxxx xxx4 xx--
IPMA 706-18-01 xxxx xxxC xx--

I just did this today, so I havent towed with it yet, but I do have the gain displaying on the dash and the truck seems to be recognizing the brake controller.
what 2 options did you enable?

This worked perfectly for me. Just tested and everything works. I used 5.0L for my 6.8L and I didn’t have IPMA module listed so I didn’t do that one.

2025 f250 STX

Pathetic ford doesn’t sell a towing truck with a dang brake controller! Used my ford points to buy one and installed myself and just got it programmed so THANK YOU! Criminals at ford wanted like $500 to click a button even when I told them I had it installed already. Highly recommend grabbing an obd link and forscan

Hi could you confirm for me if you had to change a box under the dash by the brake pedals, the kit I received only had the actual controller that replaced the change holder in the dash but i saw other people online changing a black box out by the pedal. i am attempting to program this with for scan as well. Truck is a 2025 F550 7.3. Thanks!

Weak trailer brakes

I have an issue with my new 2025 f250 trailer brakes.
I have had two f250s a 2020 and now a new 2025.
My 2020 the trailer brakes worked great and without my jeep on the trailer the trailer brakes would lock up if I had the gain set to high.
Now on my 2025 witch came factory trailer brakes with all setting on high and nothing on the trailer the brakes will not lock up ether manually or applying the brake pedal. I have this problem with both my trailers. My goose neck and light 1800lb car hauler.
They do work put very weak.
I have had it back to the dealer put they are worthless so here I am again fixing it myself.
Any ideas. Could it be the dash mounted brake controller?
