From the MPC, trans code 2 for '78 = Clark 282V direct.
I have the same trans (and code) in my '73 F600.
Rear axle code E2 = is Eaton 16244 2-spd, 6.17/8.58 . Again, same as mine.
Ed will be along and do a full decode for the rest.

E = 361 4V XD FT gas V8 (Designated "HD" in the shop manual)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
AG8109 = 1978 numerical series, September 1977 production
212 = 212 inch wheelbase
T6
T = Red
6 = Dark Cordovan Metallic
F703 = F700 gas, 23,000 lbs GVWR
E28
E2 = I do not have upholstery info for this model year
8 = Cab and chassis vehicle, and in conjunction with the "E", Custom Cab
2 = Clark model 282V five speed direct transmission

Not sure why the paint shows two tone, and the seems like an odd combo. Well, it was the '70s....
