Noob question about HVAC
'92 F150, 4.9L, E4OD, 4x4
OK, so a noob question. I feel kind of idiotic asking, but it has been annoying me. On the HVAC controls, you have 'OFF' in the middle, with Vent---Low AC---Max AC on the left side of Off, then Heater---Mix---Defrost on the right hand side. My question is, is there a way to get vent and heater blend with these controls that are in the OBS Fords? If there is not with the current factory controller, has anyone ever found/came up with a way to get a blend? Thanks.

GM had that and it was called "Bi-Level" but I don't remember Ford ever having that on their controls.

Short answer is
No
I should say possibly.
If you were to Spock style mind meld the vacuum hoses coming off the vacuum mode switch
You could then possibly force it into giving you vent and heat at the same time
Use a vacuum schematic from the service manual HVAC section showing the mode switch
I am sure you are smart enough to do it, bit coming back from your modification may be not easy
maybe hit the junkyard for an extra mode switch and connector you can play with
