Which service? The Sync system is all of the systems on the truck center stack - radio, nav, phone, etc. The nav is going to a subscription based service but the rest of it is free. It helps to know which part of the system you're asking about.
I believe you'll lose the SiriusXM and possibly Nav. If you have the Ford Pass app, it will tell you under the connected services when things expire. Or you can try the dealer to see if they can tell you. Other than that, some are there for free all the time and others start to charge after 3 months to a year, depending on the service. My BlueCruise expired after 90 days, but the security package, navigation, and premium connectivity all expire in about 9 months. I won't renew the nav as I use carplay to give me maps and I'm not sure about the security package. I'll see what I lose when the time comes.
The ford pass stuff seems to work . Sirius and Nav have stopped working on my truck. Funny thing is Navigation still works on my old truck. But when I bought the 2020 there was a $700 fee to get Navigation. There was no charge for Navigation on the 24. I prefer to just use my phone for navigation. It seems better than Fords Navigation.
Yeah, if you use your phone for Navigation...Waze or Google Maps you can then let the Sync expire. XM will keep bugging you and eventually they will offer $2.99 a month for a year. I just went with Spotify instead. The Ford Pass will continue to allow remote entry and start and few other useful things depending on your trim level and as long as you have the right things turned on for sharing of data, locations, etc, etc. I like the Android Auto, Waze, and Spotify.
