I’ve recently purchased a 1956 F800 4x4. It’s currently in a shipping container in the middle of the Atlantic somewhere heading to myself in the UK.
Im going to be making a steel flatbed for the rear but have noticed it has two connections at the rear that I don’t recognise. After finding a photo on the internet of a bed I like, I also noticed these same two connections on the towing plate behind the bed in the photo.
Are these air connections as I know the truck has air brakes? I’ve attached a photo of the rear of the truck and the photo of the bed I like and have circled the connections in blue.
If anyone know what these are, could you inform me of their correct name and function?
I did google the American air connections and see those glad hand fittings but they didn’t look alike, but I’ve just seen the ‘dummy’ or blank fittings that fit into them when they are not connected and now they look the same. Thanks for all your assistance.

Yeah, those are covers to keep dirt, bugs and water out of the air lines when not using them.
