Pulled my 390 to rebuild, and during cleaning, found this tag epoxied to a freeze plug. Anyone know what this is about? Patent came up for a motorized wheelbarrow in the 90s
Right on. Thanks. Seems it has overheated at some point as the solder is gone from it. Just found one on the other side as well, but solder is still intact
Bill's Machine Shop in Show Low, Az attached those tattletales to the backside of the cylinder head on all their builds. Takes the guess work out of some failures.
Makes sense. I am just the other side of the mountain in eagar. Bought it 10 years ago out in St John's. Original owner noticed it at the grocery store years ago, and wanted to buy it. Wish i asked him a lot more questions about it.
Found out it's a 360 also. Told by everyone it was a 390. Even got handed bad stroke measurements, and been buying 390 parts for 10 years. Opened it up, and there's an 2t crank
Not the last either. Door tag says 390, but the block says 1965 fe360, heavy duty truck. Can i buy a 390 rebuild kit for it still? Pistons have the same pin height? For some reason the 360 kit is $200 more than the 390 kit at northern
