ALWAYS get my shot every October. Why would I take a chance when protection is less than $20?

Since you brought it up, i have never had a flu shot to my recollection. I get sick every single year in the late fall (now) and late spring, without fail. I end up extremely sick for 3 days and i ride it out just like always. Im weak up to 5 days or so before the onset, with a funny taste in my mouth, that has always been my warning. I dont know if its the flu, and im not about to spend 250 (deductable) to find out. Id have to be damn near dead to pay that.

Does it seems like the flu shot is a bigger deal this year than ever?

Coast Guard makes us get them. I had shots for the last two years. Never had the flu in my 21 years on this planet.

Never had the flu, never had a flu shot. I'll just build my own immunity.

My wife got her flu shot and was sick as a dog that night. I thought you weren't supposed to get sick from the shot. So why did she get hit so hard so fast? That scared me and now there are no more innoculations. Bad timing on my part.
