F150 axel rumble
Hi everyone.I am new to this awesome site and would like to say hello to all involved.I have a 2021 Ford XTR with a 3.5 twin turbo.This past winter I have been experiencing a sort of a clunk it the rear of the truck when starting off.Today I replaced the rear rotor and pads and while doing so I put the truck up on stands and worked the wheels back and forth and noticed alot of clanging and banging going on in the diff.Seems to me as if theres is way too much back lash.Moving on ,I proceeded to change the rotors and pads and before installing the wheels I held onto one wheel stud and spun the rear axels and to my surprise the both rumbled very loud as if both wheel bearings were totally shot.I only have 24000 kms on the truck Can anyone please explain to me why I would be hearing and feeling this when spinning the axels.Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

First of all your truck should still be under the drivetrain warranty. There is also a recall, something with the left and right rear axles that can fail. This recall may include your truck if you have a special tow package.
I have a 2021 F-150 and I just got notice in the mail today that the parts for this recall are now available and I should contact my Ford dealer.
Anyway I think Ford should be able to fix your truck at no cost.

yes it is under warranty for power train only Rear brakes were garbage.I checked at the dealer today and the tech said that with the weight off of the axels its is normal to hear this rumbling coming from the diff
