rear wheel heating up
4- rotors
4- pads
rear calipers
rear parking brake assemblies with backing plate and mounting bracket
master cyclinder
brake fluid flush
While changing the rear backing plates I had to put new inner seals on obviously but just stating the obvious so you know where I stand.
I am having an issue with the driver rear wheel getting warmer than any other wheels. It's not an issue with the sun hitting it. I have checked and filled the diff. I have eliminated the possiblity of the rear brakes hanging up by changing the calipers. I had this problem prior to changing them also. All the slides are new along with the metal tabs for the pads. The parking brakes were factory set and the rotors went on easily. I did not readjust them. I have the wheels torqued at 150 ft/lb I know under the 165 recommended but my torque wrench only goes that high.
I reused the old bearings and they looked in good condition. I did repack them and I did back off the 7 clicks for used bearings. I did forget to put the 1oz or so of diff lube in the hub before putting it back on where I did do it on the passenger side. There are no leaks. The caliper does seem to be warmer on the driver side then the passenger side but I can't pin point that as being the sole reason with heat transfer.
Am I to assume that the caliper bracket could be bent? Or the rotor is warped. I only have 200 or so miles on it since all this has been done and I am afraid to drive it anymore then a short distance since I can't figure this out. I have pulled on the wheel at 3-9 and 12-6 positions and there is no slack.
Any suggestions would be helpful since I am taking it on a 2,000 mile trip hauling a trailer and I don't need a bearing failure.
Thanks.
