keypad
2015 f350. my keyless entry pad stopped working. the pad lights up but wont do anything. Will not lock by pressing last two numbers either. Got out my factory code still nothing. Key fob will lock and unlock doors and when pressed will set off alarm. i’m baffled.

As with any electrical glitch with these vehicles, the first thing I’d suggest is to disconnect your battery for a few minutes, then reconnect it, and see if it starts working again.

First thing to do is see if you have a factory instead keypad or the stick on RKE keypad. If stick on RKE, the battery is probably too low to transmit but can still light up, battery can’t be replaced so you have to buy a new one. If factory installed, hit each button and see if the key pad lights up for each button individually. That’s just a quick button test of the keypad, if one of the buttons doesn’t cause the keypad to light up then it could be a bad keypad or the BCM is getting watered on it and has corrosion on the plugs.

Ifrythings I think you hit the nail on the head. It is factory installed. We had 3 days of heavy rain and it was parked at a strange angle. I heard water sloshing in door. Cleaned drain at bottom of door and water came out. Never had water in door before. Thanks for the post

Last post on this subject. I did a hard reset (second one) and it worked. Dont know why it didnt work first time. All is well. it started taking out things one at a time.
Door locks first then Cruise control Then Sync Screen then radio started acting up. Thanks for the tip on the BCM. Thanks for the tip on reset. FIrst time i didnt
touch both sets of cables together. (Duh) second time i did and it all came together. THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLIED.
