Fuel pump?

Fuel pump?
1996 F350 7.5/460 started stuttering some under accerleration. Was also taking longer to crank than normal. I picked up fuel filter hoping that was the problem. On the way home, I switched tanks. Truck started running like a champ. Now I figure it's gotta be fuel pump. Is there anything else stupid I'm forgetting to check first or is definitely time to go ahead and order the fuel pump?

Normally, this is a fuel pump problem. But it might be caused by a dirty fuel tank selector switch. You can take it apart and clean it with some alcohol to clean the contacts.
But 90% of the time, it's the fuel pump.
