Hello guys
I am looking to replace my 2 bbl holley teapot carb of my 1956 332 truck engine. Witch 2bbl can i use to replace and use with a electronic ignition???
Thanks Hans
Typically when one installs an electric ignition kit such as a pertronix unit, it is into their existing distributor which if stock, uses a load-o-matic vacuum advance system that is already paired with the existing carburetor so that there is no need to change/replace it.
Pertonix is an aftermarket electronic ignition kit and not a stock offering. As covered in your other post, i don't immediately know which offering, if any, covers your 332 and so you would need to check with pertronix themselves to see what offerings they may have for your application.
Pertronix has a Tech Help Line, you might want to give them a call and ask them if they have a kit that would fit and work for 56 with a 332.

PS,
Make sure you tell them you have a 12 volt neg ground ignition. With a 56 I am assuming you do. I see they have a 6 volt positive ground one that is suppose to fit Ford V8s with "some modifications maybe needed". I am sure they would ask you that question anyway, but just to be sure.
Does the teapot have a rectangular base with 4 bolts? You might have to make an adapter, or one may be offered, to adapt a Rochester 2G. They are a great carb, and available with CFM ratings from around 250 to near 500. They have PCV provisions, ported and manifold vacuum connections, and very good parts support. Some fab'ing likely needed for throttle linkage.
