2003 Navigator P/S issues
Just looking for some verification on what |I was told at the garage today. I have had this unit for quite some time and it always seemed hard to steer when it was idleing. Once you get moving, all is well. Finally said enough is enough and took it in to get a new power steering pump installed. They phoned me back and said pump was ok, but the air suspension had be replaced with springs, and once you do that a "module" needs to be installed. As well there is a "connector" under the hood for this and the wires have been cut. So I am told the "computer" for the air ride also affects the power steering pump, but only at idle. Is this true? I have bit the bullet and purchased the ford service manuals off ebay so I can start to do a bit more work myself on this unit. But what does everyone here have to say? thanks
