Hey guys. A couple questions before I’m painting my truck. It’s a 67- long bed.
i already sanded and primer coated it.
I wonder if anyone used this brand ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/387150361627?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc% 3A1n5_0674FQvSzohOJIT4JQg23&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkri d=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=387150361627&targetid= 2321310837104&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=102549 8&poi=&campaignid=21214302385&mkgroupid=1610298875 81&rlsatarget=pla-2321310837104&abcId=9407524&merchantid=6321094&gad _source=1&gad_campaignid=21214302385&gbraid=0AAAAA D_QDh_IOPad1qaZRmtNTaSBuIRQh&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8Pq Cw6GcjQMVm1N_AB0a_DjBEAQYDyABEgIByPD_BwE
also, how many gallons should I order? And if I need anything else but this paint? Does it look like it’s ready to go?
Anyone that has not done a lot of painting is best off go to a local auto paint supplier as they can help on what all is needed to get a good paint job.
Is the truck black now?, Doing the door jambs, under hood and inside bed?
I dont think black would have a lot of clear so should cover pretty good, my red had a lot of clear and took a lot of coats to cover.
From the link it looks like that was just the paint, no hardner, reducer (thinner) and heat you need the right heat range on the reducer, the paint store can help with that I hope as I had to tell my store about the reducer heat range.
They can also help with how the truck should be prepped, final sandpaper grit, tack pads, etc.
Just a little of what I know of painting cars
Good luck

If it was me. I'd find the nearest PPG Paint store. Or the nearest Oreilly's Auto parts. My local Oreilly's mixes their own paint. That way if you have any questions about anything. Somebody local can help you. Instead of waiting for a e-mail reply.

If you scroll down and read the description, it includes instructions on what else is needed to make the paint work. Additional purchase of hardener and reducer is discussed. Imo, hardener is not an option. Not using a hardener in acrylic enamel is asking for trouble. If reducer is optional, it's probably already pretty thin and additional coats may be required. Best to direct additional questions directly to TCP Global. They are easy to find online. They can advise you on coverage rates, etc.
