how much?
Hey, all I have a 76 F-100. I want to paint it. I was wondering if anyone knows how many gallons I will need? And how many coats is best to put on it. Now, Im not trying to do a awesome paint job on it, but decent. Would 2 coats be good enough? And how much paint would that take????? Thanks.....

I'd look at 1.5~2 gals of sprayable material. If your skip the inside of the bed and inside of the cab, look at 1~1.5 gals. The number of coats is really dependant on the finish quality and thickness of each coat. If you do two thin coats, then have to buff out flaws/runs/orange peel then you'll probably get down to old paint too soon.
Thicker paint is better, so I'd do 3~4 coats so that you can buff it out 5 years later and still have something to buff. Plus, if you get a scratch, you might be able to completely buff it out.
