My trucks bed has the nice rhino type lining and was wondering if anyone has ever painted one of these and if their are any tips for making it look good.i'm going to paint it satin and its already black but needs touched up with new paint . Would spraying it in not get in all of the texture? and whats the best way to clean it so the paint can really stick? just a good soapy powerwash?
I think paint is going to have a tuff time sticking to the bedliner. Maybe an epoxy paint but I would test spot it and work it for a while to see what happens.
Why not just call a place that sprays Rhino lining and ask them. Maybe they have a chemical or primer that would go on first before the paint. They might even have a type of paint that you can buy from them just for that application.
Ive sprayed over herculiner before around the floor area of a cab. Primer, base, clear, but I wouldnt do it if it was on the exterior. It had good adhesion though and still looks great. I would have it resprayed if it was in a bed.
