Hammer Links

Do y'all use these hammer links I've seen? Looks to be a little easier to hook the chains up to vs the Ford wierd hitch spot for chain hooks.

I had to Google what they were. For me, my hooking spot is fairly easy, I should get a better way to connect my E brake though.

Hammer Locks on amazon. I use the

1/2 inch Tow Hitch Hammer Lock Safety Chain Connector Link Hammerlock Coupling Link Grade 80.

Instead of the pins provided, i use grade 8 bolts with lock nut to facilitate easier initial setup. None of my trailer hooks fit the Ford hitch very well, so I had to do something.

My cousin does and they're great. I need to get a set because the flatbed I tow has narrow hooks and is more difficult than the other trailers I use.

The issue with connecting the trailer chains was limited to the 2.5" receiver hitch as I recall. The 3" receiver isn't a problem. Hammer Locks are one solution. Supposedly, there are other chain hooks that will fit better.
