May BS Day Every Day Thread

Welcome visitors to the monthly Mississippi Chapter BS Thread... where we mostly discuss the vagaries of our weather.
If you are a MS Ford truck (any year, vintage) owner, please say hello & especially if you are interested in having the coveted chapter membership added to your FTE status.
If you're in a neighboring state/region or just like us, please feel free to join in & post.

We love projects. We love pictures of projects. If you know of a automotive event close by that may have slipped our notice, please tell us about it.
If you're out & about in the state, say where & when & we can do IRL for a cup of coffee or cool beverage. If you need advice/info/helping hand, speak up & we'll give it a shot.

Another day older & deeper in debt... so sang Ernie.

Keep on keep'in folks.

Enjoy the weather if it's nice.

Its been wet here, seemingly permanent.

Cold front blew past & not a drop of rain.

Lots & lots of tornados across the south.

I'm coming up with new & different ways to shape metal to scab in floors to my Flintstone mobile.

Nothing like to quality of your work.

Need to hit the junkyard before it turns into death valley.

Plan on sandblasting some parts that still need to be put in epoxy primer, not my most fun thing to do but if I keep putting it off it won't get done..lol
Does the vehicles down there get much rust on them

Oh yeah. Just that we don't "normally" salt roads. Bridges, yes.

Coastal areas have their own issues with flooding & people don't wash the undersides.

And the humidity + long periods of rain.

If the vehicle is not sealed, they rust inside out like my old Mach 1 cause they never dry out.

Our winters are hard on the vehicles with all the road salts. I wish I had a stall in a garage that I could set up as a wash bay..

Last day of the second wettest May since they've been keeping records.

Nearly a foot of water.

Have managed to get an addition to my shop that might seem like a no-brainer but for me it took a while.

Got a Lincoln Power Mig 180 few years back & have run it on flux-core ever since. Never had shield gas.

Of course I waited till it's massively over priced, well the tanks rather.

Dealer says that prices for the tanks are ridiculous & never came down after Covid like SO MANY things.

At least I can now make (relatively for me, ) clean welds.

Enjoy your weekend if dry for you.

Good morning David ,They charged me over $200 for my tank when I got mine and that was around 18 years ago but it was a full short *** bottle, it costs almost that to fill it now. Makes better welds though without the splatter..We sure could use that rain up here with all the fires that are burning again..
