Depends on how many vehicles you already have. Personally I like having primary vehicles for me and my wife and the a secondary vehicle for unseen circumstances that may happen. The pros are that you have a running vehicle ready to go should you have a problem with a primary vehicle. The negatives are needed costs and possible degradation of secondary vehicle. In my case. It's mostly rats that destroy wiring and such because of sitting. I think it's all up to the situation and risk that you are willing to go through and you are best suited to make that choice.

get some Deer Spray, it keeps critters off the wire looms.
we have about 100 small trees, and one winter the deer chewed all the bark off of them, wished I could have killed every one of those critters, cost me a ton of money.
then I got this stuff, spray on any vehicle wiring that sits more than a few days. 1 gallon will last you until you die, or your grandkids die.
This,,,,this is the best idea ever in the history of ideas. Makes me want to go buy another Excursion just to do this. Make a vehicle that can bring the whole family rock bouncing,,,, sounds freaking awesome.

I second this!! Saw a V10 4x locally and really thought about it, but it was gawn after my pondering convinced myself I should!
I have 10 cars, 4 are "spares" never know when you will need one. If a daily driver breaks down, just grab another from the fleet and drive on.
Before my sister was moved to our home, we had 3.
Pontiac Vibe, '01 K1500 Suburban, '02 Excursion.
then her husband died, and we moved their farm stuff here.
2010 Ford Raptor,
Kia Amanti,
'99 Dodge Cummins 1 ton flatbed
and a 40' Diesel Pusher motorhome, not a daily driver
Two Kubota tractors, and a Kubota SxS ( very handy for me, it has AC in the cab. )
