Can someone please tell me what transmission is in the 06 f150 XLT 4.6? It seems like there's a bit of confusion as to which type is actually on the truck. 4R70W, 4R75W or is it one of the E series? I'd really like to get this figured out so I can get another one. Thank you for your time and responses.

 

there is a code on the drivers door jamb sticker.

 

The code is "A" and I've tried looking it up but it still doesn't give me a direct answer.

 

Shoot me the last eight digits of the VIN, I'll tell you what it has.

4R70W Tag/engineering number should have been 6L3P-7000-BA, That number should also help track one down.
