run a wire through the firewall

Hey guys, I need to run a single 16 gauge wire from the cab to the engine compartment. I'd like to find a route with minimal removal of stuff. From the engine compartment on the right side just behind the ECU I can see access a wire penetration, however where it come through into the cab is totally blocked by the heater/blower assembly. Have you ever run a wire and found an easy way ? appreciate your experience/suggestions/recommendations. thanks (2008 F150 XLT super cab)

A well planned hole drilled and a grommet work.

there is the wire harness that had a huge black rubber hole that it sits on. Just find something sharp. And stab it though the black rubber piece. I installed cb radios and such at a radio store here in my local town. We wired them that way, used a sharp antenna and tapped it on the end and stabbed it through the rubber piece to the side.

poke it through next to the A/C drain passenger side footwell, just pull the carpet back, you will see it. there's a grommet or foam around it, can't remember which one,
