I have a brand new to me, 2006 F250 6.8l which has a p0316 error code. I downloaded Forscan in hopes of adjusting the speedometer since it is indicating a higher speed than actual gps speed and when I hooked it up I saw the P0316 code but no check engine light. I cleared the code in case it was old, but it showed up again after a restart.
I have zero experience with this truck since I just bought it so I don’t know what a normal startup or idle sounds like but nothing feels or sounds rough or like a misfire. It does seem like it takes a bit longer to start than most other vehicles but it could be totally normal for this truck. I drove the car with my mechanic before buying it and nothing except the body mounts felt out of place.
where should I start looking given no other codes are present and I don’t seem to feel a misfire?
