Def fault code ?
On the way to work this morning I got a def default reduced speed alarm . After I turned the truck off and restarted I got a check engine light too . It the def default code and reduced speed alarm had cleared. Put my code reader on it had a code P2047 . I cleared it and everything seems back to normal. Is it getting close to weight loss surgery time ? This is my first Ford and hell first diesel that has not been deleted .

If I remember right, mine happened right after an OCR. I read that head can cause the frequency of the injector to go out of spec which can cause a code. That's been 8 or so months ago and it hasn't happened since.

I did do some forscan programing the day before . Just enabled a camera .

Well my def fault code came back on my drive home from work today . Looks like I might be replacing the def injector soon . Just got to make sure I find the right one . Can’t find it on Tasco .

My 2015 f 350 i have owned from new Had to def dpf system replaced about 15 months ago after it sat at dealer for about 4 weeks(in the middle of winter plowing season) they said parts on back order this was jan 2020 first they tried to do a regen that did not work. Any way got the truck back and it died on me a week later took back to ford they said new DEf dpf system was no good replaced again under warranty. So fast forward to last week got the message again def system failure speed reduced in 50 miles brought truck to a new ford dealer and they say I need another dpf system and my extended warranty just ran out 10 days ago so $6000 for parts. Ok so extended warranty is done but the parts from 15 months ago should be under warranty right...nope wrong Dealer says if I bought the parts 15 months ago then the parts are covered under a 2year unlimited mileage warranty but since they were replaced under warranty its only a 1 year warranty on parts and now I have to pay $6000 plus.... WTF
I am ready to delete the whole system... I dont know what else to do... UGH!!!!
