I often drive on a deserted alpine dirt road with twists, turns, and straights. My truck has auto dimming lights (brights) when it sees a car coming, but most of the time, they want to be on bright, which doesn't have great close up illumination. Sure, I know Bambi mode affects brights and fog lights, but...
-Does Bambi mode automatically turn the fogs on with brights, or do you turn on the fogs, and Bambi will keep them on if the brights are engaged?
-Does Bambi mode permanently cancel the automatic low/bright switching? I don't know if I would miss it, sometimes when a car is approaching, I'm thinking, OK....OK.. OK, DIM!
Yes, I searched this on the forum and net, nothing conclusive I could find.
Bambi mode..leaves fogs on with bright
and if selected...on in headlight switch.
.
If you have low beams on and select fogs
the truck will remember setting
And they stay on with brights
when brights are auto. They stay on with brights and stay on if brights cut off
And low beams are on.
You can also disable the auto dim feature... I did. For that matter, you can disable auto headlamps altogether... meaning you actually have to *gasp!* turn your headlights on and off manually.
As Robert mentions... all Bambi mode does is allow you to use your fog lights even with high beams.
OK, so if it's in auto mode, and I push the fog button in the middle of the mode selector ****, the fogs will come on and stay on with either low or bright beams. If I push the fog button off, they will stay off? Sorry to beat this to death...
