FORScan question

I’ve looked through all the FORScan stuff and I’m still not sure if what I’m looking for is possible. Is there a code that will allow me to have the fogs and “C” lights on as DRL’s. I see where you can change it to fogs or turn signals but do the stock “C” lights still also light up?
Thanks all,
Jay

Always wonder why people run their fog lights during the day, or night even, when it's not foggy. Just get a q beam and shine it in everyone's eyes if you can't see good enough. Then there are the others, that won't turn their lights on unless it prevents them from being able to see because it's pitch black out. Doesn't matter if it's raining, snowing, fog, whatever. No lights on. Nobody home.

Answer. Because we can. Mine are set thru forscan for Bambi mode. Fogs on with low and high beams. So they are on all the time. My truck, my lights.

True. Except if you choose to keep "your truck, your lights" OFF when the statutory motor vehicle laws of your state require them to be on (e.g., after dusk/before dawn, when it's raining, going through tunnels, etc.) or when they shouldn't be ON (e.g., high beams when within 500 feet of the front or rear of another vehicle (MI law)) ...

The options in Forscan, from my memory, are the [ lights, low beams, or driving lights for DRLs only. I run my lights in auto, and have Bambi mode enabled as well. In low light, even if auto doesn’t turn on the lights, I will go into manual lights on so I have tail and markers in addition to headlights.

because they are NOT fog lights....they are DRIVING lights

WHITE lights are NOT fog lights....in fog white lights create glare and do not cut the fox they REFLECT back in fog.

The OEM LED fogs have a very low and very flat beam which makes them excellent fog lights. If they were driving lights, wouldn't they burn only when the high beams are on? Older fog lights were amber/yellow, and they did not reflect much light back to the driver ... probably because they didn't emit much light either which really wasn't much help to the driver.

Same reason I burn them on my motorcycle ... not to see with, but to be seen.

perhaps youre right - fog lights seems to be a generalized term (to avoid confusion w/ driving/head-lamps).
most state inspections do not permit "fogs" (or driving) lights to be on w/ the high-beams.

white light and in fact high temperature white light is the wrong color for driving in fog.
the yellow used for fog lights was not because of the low output, rather it was the color of lens and the tungsten filament.
