Last night I did the Lincoln fold in foreskin and while it is an improvement, it's not quite what I want. I would prefer the mirrors to stay folded until I start the truck, not just when I close the door.
I i know there's a work around where you hit the lock button before you close the door but that's almost worse if you get in the truck before you close the door. In that case, all the doors lock and the truck honks twice because you're (the key) is inside.
The problem is in a parking lot, you get in your truck and the mirthes come out perhaps hitting someone and that might be one of your own wife and possibly SWMBO!
At leaswith the mirrors coming out on start you have a little more control over that.
In the beginning my mirrors would only fold open/close by me pushing the mirror button on the inside before I exited the vehicle.
You never knew if the truck was locked or unlocked.
Now the mirrors will fold with the lock button inside, the lock button on the remote or the mirror folding button on the inside. When the truck is locked you know the truck is locked due to the mirrors auto folding inward.
When I use the remote to start the truck my mirrors remain folded inward/ closed.
If I use the remote to unlock my truck my mirrors will unfold whether running or not.
if I use the remote to lock my truck my mirrors fold/close whether running or not.
If touch the door handle the mirrors will unfold/fold if the truck is running or not.
Yes, to your question and they remain closed until you unlock the truck.

Any fix?
Seems to me the problem is you’re behind the wheel with your door closed while she’s still outside.
