I got a new 2024 truck in December and had to go with carpet. My last truck i ordered(2022) and got the vinyl. Is it just dumb to think about getting the vinyl mat and installing? I haven't even priced it yet, thought i might ask here first to kill the thought. What kind of pia would it be to do? Are we talking console removal?
my gsd’s hair is already embedded in the carpet. Got him 2 years ago and leaving home quickly became not an option. He’s become pretty important to us. I went dogless for 20 years after putting my only dog i ever had down, and swore them off. Crap happens and we got one. The vinyl floor was great for this. Pic of the problem waiting on me as i type this…
To be transparent, I never knew carpet delete was a thing until I got my Tremor. Whoever ordered it, wanted that. Now that I've had it, even in an optioned vehicle, I like it. Would look for it again.
My 2023... my work truck... has carpet, which is fine... whatever. Our 2025 XL... my wife's truck... has carpet delete... it's GREAT! Nothing slides around, you blow it out and wipe it down with a wet rag. I'm debating either getting the Ford floor, or an aftermarket one. I ordered a Husky Liner for the back seat, before we took delivery on the 2025 truck, thinking it wouldn't be very grippy, and I wound up putting it in my 2023, instead.
I've done my fair share of tearing out truck interiors... it's not terrible, but it would take an afternoon, and the right tools to do it. An extra set of hands is usually mandatory... to get the seats out and such.

I found weathertech front, husky rear is a good combo for the Alumaduties. For some reason the weathertech rear is a pain to settle. I had mine with vinyl floor and with the after market mat it's as durable as any vehicle interior i have had.
I went to the dealership to order the floor mats after picking up my 2022 with carpet delete. The dealer screwed up when searching for the mats and they accidentally selected the entire vynil floor and it would have been $800 but when they asked me for cash for the difference in FordPass points and the balance I knew something wasn't right. Im sure the 2023+ floor is similar in size and price. To replace the carpet it looks like you would have to empty the cab of anything on the floor. There are wires for heated and power seats the poke through holes in the floor and the seat belts but if money doesn't matter as much as function I would say it is very doable just looking at my interior.
Have you considered the Tuxmat floor liners?
I have them in my carpet truck. And the only visible carpet anymore is the stuff under the front seats.
I don't even remove them to clean.
When I rinseless wash my truck, I grab an older microfiber rag, spray a bit of the water on the floor mat, wipe it out.

I prefer the long OEM mat with the under seat storage box removed. Flat, clean, large space.

Crazy as it sounds, I would order a new truck and trade in before I went through the task of deleting carpet manually.
Just came here to agree. I did the carpet delete on my 24 Platinum custom order and it was actually a small upcharge for the vinyl floor but worth it. I still put WeatherTech mats in front and rear to make basic cleaning easier.

I did look at them and it’s great coverage but the material looks cheap. Plus I do construction and farm and quite often pull my mats out to dump them. The tux mat look like a fabric over foam. Some have posted their heel rubs through, but it’s perfect coverage.
