I have a German Shedder too. Carpet Delete was the best 50 bucks I ever saved. I also removed the storage unit underneath the seats.

Even without out a dog i cant think of any reason a truck should have carpet. My first 2 ford diesels(1997 and 2000) had vinyl. Then as my business grew i started getting lariats and just lived with carpet for 9 more trucks, then in 2022 i ordered a truck for the first time and got carpet delete. Now i went back with a truck on the lot. This carpet is going to run me nuts until i change it.

Taking carpet out myself?

I want to buy a new but overmodel 2024, but no dealer orders a pickup with carpet delete. Has anyone done it themselves, or had a dealer do if for them? The rebate is $50 in a 2025 ordered pickup, but with the savings on 2024 model year I could afford quite a bit of labor and be money ahead. Please weigh in and stop me from insanity or being a genius.

With my two Bernese shedders I still get hair airborne in the cab with carpet. If I ever get to order a new truck it will get the delete option! The key is to have a rear slider and open it first. Then when you open the other windows it funnels everything out the back!

The opposite was always true for the trucks I had with a rear slider. Every leaf, pine needle, or piece of straw would fly into the cab right up to the dashboard...

I have them in my carpet truck. And the only visible carpet anymore is the stuff under the front seats.
I don't even remove them to clean.
When I rinseless wash my truck, I grab an older microfiber rag, spray a bit of the water on the floor mat, wipe it out.
I have now put Tuxmat in my F150, Mach-E, and a previous F150. Will absolutely be putting them in my just acquired F350.
It's true that their coverage is so thorough that I don't remove them to clean them. Good stuff.

Can you guys post pics of the tuxmax? And describe the material? Is it a rubberized fabric over foam? Ive seen pics online where the heel wears a hole in it. I’m in a lot of mud and gravel and dump my weathertechs out. tuxmat does not look easy to remove.

Mine only seems to do that if the front windows are up or the gooseneck enclosed trailer is hooked up making the air whirl in the box.

I live on property with a 1/4 mile private gravel/crushed concrete road. So plenty of nasty debris tracked in. They are much tougher than they look, but I'm sure there are environments where they wouldn't stay as nice, or perhaps show certain wear. But I have only managed to wear/damage the edge seam where apparently I drag my boots across sideways getting in/out.

This is my F150 about 3 years ago.

Check out the 3Dmatsusa.com. They look great and easy to clean in or out of the vehicle. It has a little less coverage than the tux mat but they look great, light weight and sturdy. They have a couple of styles to choose from. I' got the Kagu which is a smooth rubber like carbon fiber texture. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

I discovered by accident that those textured nitrile gloves are awesome for removing dog hair. You just swipe them across the carpet and it gathers it all up in no time. I have a Golden and a Leonberger, two hair factories lol and this method has preserved my sanity.

I have the Tuxmats in several vehicles and have been impressed with how they have held up with the daily gravel/mud/mess over time. They certainly are fantastic at preserving the oem carpet flooring from wear or damage. But I looked up the 3Dmatsusa and ordered their products for my new 2024 F350. I look forward to a self-comparison of the two products and will be able to better decide what to get for a soon to be built Maverick for one of my daughters. I grabbed seat protection and child car seat pad as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

All those Chinese tuxmat/3d stuff, what is it? It’s like a fabric mat. You all say it’s easy to clean but it looks it’s hard to clean or dump out dried mud. Is it not a fabric covered foam mat?
