I have a 2005 Ford F150 with a 4.6L. I recently had issues with my front airbag sensor, so I removed it planning to replace it. I started it up, noticed that my gauges took a second to come on.
Then I drove it the next day, it started up and no gauges came on. No gauges, no radio, no power windows, no odometer, no hvac controls.
When I got back, I shut it off and when I took the key out and opened my door my blower motor turned on and it started blowing, as well as my flasher relay started clicking.
Now it wont start at all, no crank, no click. I went to the starter relay and bypassed it, and it started cranking but still no start.
Is there a safety mode when anything with the airbag is messed with? Maybe something with the restraint control module?
what was the issue with the airbag sensor ? I would re-install it and see if you get everything back.
Unfortunately it was having issues, so I just got rid of it. I tried using another one from a 2007 model, but no luck. I'm not sure if programming or anything needs to happen.
