No Gauges Are Working
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me why my gauges in my truck quit working? I drove home and parked my truck and the next day get into it and start it up and nothing works.

The lights work behind the gauges. When the truck does the light check the abs and seat belt lights come on. My gauges are bottomed out but yet the low fuel light isn't on, nor (if there is one) does the low oil pressure light (it has the sweep gauge).

do you have the digital odometer? There is a diagnostics test you can activate to check all the guages. I think you press (and keep it pressed) the odometer reset button and then turn on the ignition switch to the first "on" position. It might be the other way, turn on the ignition and then press the button down. The digital display goes to a "test" mode and you keep pressing the button to cycle thru the diagnostics. One of them says "guage" and all the guages sweep back and forth and all lights turn on. That might help. There is also a know problem with a bad solder on the guage cuircuit, but this usually causes the digital odometer to go out. Sounds like you might have a bad connection somewhere.

My truck Doesn't have the digital gauges in it. That came out the next year after mine truck. But thanks for the info and trying to help. I did read that info in another thread on this website the other night. I'm not sure if I should replace the cluster or if that will even fix the problem.
